The recent sighting of Veski at Ista's auction, along with the capture of one young naive renegade lad had led to the inevitable events that were planned by Ista Weyr. Setting up a trap by returning Valkin to his home with the renegades, the Weyrleaders had them followed and finally located the elusive hideout of the Renegades. Most of Ista's Ocean Sapphire Wing, many Istan guards, and even Weyrwoman Ysa all raided the Renegade's Camp.
It was a bloody battle that began when the renegades refused to surrender, with numbers of Istans as well as Renegades alike falling; sadly, several riders had lost their lives as well. Eventually the rest of the Renegades were either captured or had surrendered when things looked bleak, yet quite a few had still managed to escape through hidden tunnels. Ista's infirmary is once again filled practically to capacity, the leaders calling for help from the main Healer Hall again to assist in treating the injured.
Among those injured and captured is Veski, the leader of the Renegades, who is currently undergoing treatment before he's transferred to Ista's cells. The fate of the infamous leader so far is undecided, but the Weyrleaders at Ista Weyr are not taking any chances and are keeping him close by and heavily guarded. There is an overwhelming amount of captives now crowding the cells, many still forced to be held elsewhere. Time will only tell what will happen with all their prisoners, but rumours have it that Ista Weyr will be focused on clearing out the old Renegade Camp first.
