What started as a bronzerider happening on a sleeping gardener in the late evening turned rapidly into embarrassing story-time, a question-and-answer session on draconic eating habits, benches, and barbecues. Along the way, a certain smoke-wrought bronze laid an ember of a suggestion in his rider's mind — nothing more than the idea that he's willing to let someone see the eggs he covets so dearly.
But on the way to the galleries, the pair were waylaid by a stealthy (or not-so-much; she's a dragon, for Faranth's sake!) green Ladjeyth and her rider, Akhmida, who felt it was /imperative/ that she know if Ariadne was willing to do her duty to Ista Weyr and to Pern by standing. Ariadne accepted and was treated to a rare opportunity to actually, you know, get a /look/ at the eggs before being ushered off to get settled in the barracks, rather than getting an eyeful of the cranky bronze who seems intent on hiding that clutch from view.
Zaqalekhth disavows any involvement in the search process.
Naturally.
