Don’t page the weyrstaff and searchriders every time you log in to 'say hi', 'check on your application', make sure we notice you're logged in, or any other 'Look at me! Look at me!' type of thing. We'll keep an eye on you, have no fear, and bugging us, like us bugging you, just gets everyone frustrated.
Don’t have your @doing, desc or poses say how much you'd /love/ to be a candidate or rider. If it's your character's lifelong dream, keep it subtle.
Don't ask us to give out details of anyone else's application, their likelihood of Impression, or anything else under consideration by the SearchCo. Constantly asking for confidential things, or information that will give you 'one up' on the others, will only harm your chances of Impression.
Do come out and RP! We can't find you if you're set unfindable and getting a dragon into your cot is just messy and really quite rude.
Do make certain that you confirm with your IC leader that you are going for Search; it's a nasty surprise to get up in the morning and find your apprentices scooped out from under your nose.
Do talk to us if you have a problem, be it with a SearchCo member, another candidate, a Weyr resident, anything. We cannot deal with things if we don't know about them, and sadly, none of us are psychic.
