While Ista Weyr has been quiet after the recent Weyrlings' graduation, the rest of the island has been buzzing with activity. Tectonic activity, that is. In the aftermath of the last big earthquake, aftershocks have still been felt around the major Holds. Delegations have been sent out from the Weyr to calm the Holders, and riders are kept on alert in case of any major quakes that require immediate help and evacuation.
Except with many of the Search and Rescue riders recently recovering from the fires of Western, Ysa has been getting growing concerns over the Weyr's lack of support if some emergency were to happen. Tensions rise among the Holds on the island with the Weyr. Weyrfolk have been complaining about being understaffed as well as the limited supplies and crops being traded from the Holds. Those in the caverns will have started to notice the smaller rations being served and the talk of whether the Holders' paranoia of a major earthquake is true or not.
