Every Weyr has it's gossip. Lately the residents of Ista have been muttering about the strange new habits of their new Senior Weyrwoman. Or is it lack of certain habits? When she had arrived and even after the flight of her gold, Ysa was a constant patron of the Sable Sands, becoming friendly with the bartenders. Except over the past few sevendays there has been an absense of her anywhere near the bar. Those in the caverns have seen her suddenly turn away klah for some juice instead, even if she was ready to pass out from exhaustion. The Senior was also seen pacing outside the infirmary, and then finally one watchrider saw her sneaking in and out late one evening.
The gossip is definitely pointing to one thing in particular, though no one dares to confirm it. With two sons fathered by her weyrmate, is Ysa really pregnant with a third? Does she really want to keep it, rumors being that she detests kids and has had bad pregnancies? And is her weyrmate really the father? Or maybe the Senior has come down with a sickness, exhausted by her new role of Senior, and does not want to panic the Weyr so soon…
