What was at first strange smells, hallucinations, and eventually sick Weyrfolk was finally resolved. The lower caverns were searched thoroughly from top to bottom for the source, and through a tunnel one was finally found. After soem evacuations, where the residents had to settle with living and working in the living caverns for awhile, the miners were able to somehow block the shaft that was leaking the toxic gases. Some miners worry now that, with the small shocks that are quaking around the island and the gases into Ista Weyr, the volcano to the south of the Weyr has decided to become a little too active to their liking.
