There seems to be a flurry of activity around one of the newest Candidates brought in for Miraneith and Ittisieth's clutch. Searched from the Lower Caverns of Igen Weyr, Lairnan is the son of a pair of artists, with a sister, and two brothers (one of whom rides green for Igen.) There was some confusion at first when he was Searched, as the brownrider who brought him in late at night is nowhere to be found. Did that rider even reside at Ista? But nevertheless, the next morning, one of the Assistant Weyrlingmasters had his dragon look over the young man of 19 turns and 8 months, and verified that he was indeed acceptable to the dragons for the clutch. So stay he will!
Lairnan is something of a debonair fellow, being raised in a Weyr, he's gotten a good start at winning the ladies' hearts — and he's definitely glad to be here at Ista Weyr, even if his current status as a Candidate leaves him a little … frustrated at times. There seems to be one lady who's caught his eye, and he always seems to be sending his firelizard, Muffin, off for some reason or another — why does he do that anyway?
What this candidate is hiding, the world may never know. Only time can tell, and he seems well able to bide his time and wait.
