Fire!
There was no way that Ista would miss out on a chance of helping out Western, especially when increasing the bond between the two Weyrs is important. F'yr was one of several of Ocean Sapphire's riders that showed up, excited for the change in their daily Search and Rescue routine on the island. The Istan riders, strapping oiled hides to the underside of their dragons, flew over the small wildfire again and again until they tired and other Western riders replaced them. But the dangers of the fire can extend further than just the flames.
Riders that came back from helping Western went straight to the infirmary afterwards, riders and dragons with bad coughs after inhaling the smoke of the fire and many with dragons whose hide had dried out quickly. These dragons have been grounded from :betweening: and flying until they recover. Though there weren't any serious injuries, Ocean Sapphire now finds itself with many of its Wing grounded for about a sevenday. Good thing the stormy season has yet to arrive… right?
