A sevenday. Two. Three. Eventually, a full month passes before most residents realize that one formerly unobtrusive figure is actually gone-gone instead of potentially haunting some place or another in the Weyr.
Indeed, it was less than a sevenday after giving a first aid lesson that the Apprentice Galina was recalled to the Hall. Rumors abound as to why, though many point to Fraille's presence at the lesson as being indicator enough that the girl must have been demoted. Others suspect the rash of pregnancies might have driven her off. Still others theorize that she must be next in line to be shuttled off to some horrible and cold place, where she'd be most likely to fit in.
Either way, it's not something that most of her former fellow Healers will pry too deeply into.
She was a terrible wet blanket, after all, and no one likes a wet blanket.
