Flop
Flop.jpg

If there's one phrase to describe this little firelizard, it's "washed out". From the insipid, dirty baby blue coating his hide, to the nigh-transluscence of his pale aquamarine wingsails, it looks as if he's been out sunning himself on a rock for a little too long. This image is reinforced by the languid movements of his too-thin neck, skinny paws, and whip-like, forked tail. The brightest, most active thing about him are his jewel-like eyes, sparkling like jewels upon desert sands.

Egg Name and Description

Little Clay Flute Egg
This egg looks strangely like an overgrown lentil in shape, round and slightly flattened. Creamy caramel covers and caresses most of the shell, but on one side is what resembles a stylized representation of Rukbat in cocoa, with three little dots on either side, like fingerholes on a flute.

Hatching Message

With one great crash against the side of the basket, the cracks in the shell give way like a pottery bowl falling to the ground, setting Desert Sun Blue Hatchling free at last.

Personality

Inspiration

This egg was inspired by a non-traditional instrument, the ocarina. In particular, I drew from a little clay ocarina I had growing up; it sometimes would sound like I imagine a firelizard's warbling to be.
