Description
Taking a gander at this woman reveals short bouncy white curls mounted atop a frame of average height carrying around an average weight aging anywhere from her late teens to her midtwenties and with dark eyes. Looking closer reveals that her curls are not white but rather sun-bleached faded golden color with strands of honey and cream peeking out underneath. A quick shift to her face and it turns out that eyes so dark from a far are actually hazel, switching from green to brown to honey completely at random with tiny freckles making a path under one eye to across her nose and under the other eye. Delicate looking lips, a small nose and the beginnings of worry lines on her brow might also be of interest.
Pink and lacey are two words to sum up the tank top covering her ample bust line. With a low scoop neck (edged completely in off white lace) and a bow at either shoulder, the tanktop is daring in cut but even more so in pattern. Someone has taken the time to delicately dye soft blue, purple and yellow flowers into the fabric of her shirt. They are along a bright green vine that twists its way from her left hip up and across to her right shoulder and the bow there has been dyed to match one of the flowers. All of it but the arms have been hemed in the same off white lace. Her left hand has been covered in a white fingerless glove. Rarely if ever does it see the light but when it does, a single deep scar can be seen. It goes from between her first two fingers to the bottom of her palm. Her lower body has been covered up in a set of green shorts to show off well formed legs and delicate ankles. They may have once been breeches but the legs have been cut-off and hemmed to form short shorts. To complete this outfit, she's got on simple leather sandals and a simply dyed knot marking her as a Journeywoman Healer at Ista Weyr.
History
Gwenavera, as she was called turns ago, is the second to youngest of four children. She and her siblings were born to the ever patient farmer Eleavera and the grouchy Healer Garnet. She had what most would call a happy home life for all of her younger turns. Her mother kept a small garden, her father worked long nights and she and her siblings did the best to ignore one another before a world war broke out between them.
You see all three were as different from each other as night and day. The eldest Elise was known for her sweet nature and polite words. She was a favorite of almost everybody. Gisele, the second eldest, was a book worm and didn't take to her sister's popularity very well. Earen, the youngest, was mostly a typical boy and drove the girls crazy. And then there was Gwenavera. While the rest had for the most part inherited their personalities from their relatively good natured mother, Gwenavera picked up her attitude from her father. She wasn't exactly vicious but where her sisters were (for the most part) all smiles, she was a single witty insult away from cleaning the stables for an entire turn by herself. By the time she was six, she had picked up the nickname Will and refused to use any other. Together this group of siblings was hand full so it was no surprise when the eldest was sent off to the Harper Hall, the second eldest to the Farm crafters and Will off to the Healers.
Will's time in the Healer Hall can be best summarized as — 'Dear Faranth, if it weren't for her steady hands and castiron stomach, I'd launch that brat now!'. But somehow she found a place for herself with her sarcastic wit and even won over a few friends. Her father was greatly pleased. As the only one of his children to follow him into the craft, Will was doing quite well. About three turns into her apprenticeship, her younger brother followed in her footsteps. The brother and sister managed to avoid each other for the most part. Four turns later she walked the tables and started work at the Telgar Weyr Infirmary. Three turns of life down the road, for reasons unknown to anyone but herself, she picked up her life and requested a position at Ista Weyr.
