Description
His heavy, goldenrod-streaked blonde hair is undeniably thick and fairly long, falling to at least mid-back when loose and usually kept in a wide, loose braid that leaves much of the actual hair around his face free enough to frame it, locks often falling across his forehead. His features are proportionate but finely shaped, lacking much angularity besides that which comes with age, high cheekbones leading into a curved jawline and a wide chin. His skin is warmly tanned with notable tawny undertones, making it something of a light, dusty golden brown, lighter in some places but otherwise seemingly permanent. Due to his tan, if anything, the skin of his mouth is particularly dark, the shape of it broad and lush enough that the cinnamon-toned redness of it is distinct. His eyes are striking, somewhat wide but with a mild tilt at the outer corners that offsets it, the color of them a pure and unfettered shade of sapphiric blue, bordered by almost effeminately long honeyed lashes. As far as build goes, he is solidly built, not wide so much as put together with the suggestion of able strength. His body is neatly proportionate, a dense musculature set on a lean figure.
A short half-jacket with a high, square collar and made of treated hide that's been dyed a deep, rich burgundy in color is worn over a thin shirt made from a rough weave; the sleeveless shirt is a warm, bronzed tone of brown, clingy and long enough to overlap his hips by a few inches. Though the shirt is unadorned, the jacket actually has some decorative needlework done along the seams and down the spine, nothing too fancy, just a little bit of embellishment done in a paler tint. The pants he has on are fitting and snug, made of a shined hide that is a muddied cherrywood in color, with strips of crimson, ribbed elastic cloth sewn in horizontally along the legs and diagonally around his thigh joints, to give the tight pants that much more free movement. Just barely visible beneath the straight, falling sheath of those pants' legs are a pair of umber boots that are made of softly treated hide with flexible soles. His ears are multiply pierced, miniature rings and simple studs lining the outer edges and lobes of both ears, roughly twelve altogether, normally made of metal; he also has a light chain around his neck with a small, spherical, opaque blue stone on the end, and very simple bracelets and rings.
History
If there's a sucker born every minute, there's also someone born to sucker them in. That could easily be described as the basic reasoning behind Mahdemaske's birth. Fortunately for him, his father was of a trusting variety, in spite of their wayward trader ways, because when the blonde bundle of joy was birthed to two brunette parents, it would've been easy to assume the incorrect and blame his wife of infidelity. Mahdemaske's mother was a good lady, however; her father's family carried the gene for it, and little Mah was just a bit recessive. Often considered a charming little boy with a sweet smile and beguiling blue eyes, he was also something of a troublemaker, and things only went downhill when his friend, Quelle, was born. Mah's family had, for the past couple turns, allied themselves with a family of performers - dancers, acrobats, musicians, fortune tellers - making money on selling wares while the performers brought in the people. They would often split their winnings, giving the other a certain percent, to make sure everyone made money. Quelle was the son of the performers and, from a very young age, he and Mah were fast and best friends.
As the years passed, Mahdemaske picked up further trader skills from his parents, learning the fine art of selling people things they didn't really need. He learned proper sales too, of course, but he was unnaturally amused by hustling people out of their money, though never beyond a certain point. He retained that sense of charm even as he began to lengthen and fill out, even learning to dance as he would follow Quelle around to his performance lessons. He soon began to pick up extra marks by dancing with members of the troupe, eventually getting quite good at it, though his family often preferred for him to stick to trading. Unfortunately, when Mahdemaske was fourteen, the tensions between the family came to a head. They seperated, the troupe going one way, the trader caravan going another. Heartbroken for the loss of his friend, Mahdemaske spent a good deal of time sulking, and became a little less friendly than he once was. It took him a few turns before he could overcome losing his childhood friend, but eventually, he managed it. He left the emotional aspect of it behind, retaining only the lingering sentimentality that comes with the memory of someone that used to be important. His family moved around the Southern areas until Mahdemaske turned nineteen, wherein they started to move away from the Weyr, Hold, and surrounding areas, something that he has yet to acclimate himself to entirely.

Dragon
Brown Tuliculath
Physically this brown is long for his colour, though quite well proportioned. Everything is long and slender, from his almost delicate head and long neck to his fit body, slender legs, and his tapered tail. Natural hued browns attempt to cloak this large dragon, to hide him, mottled in a pattern vaguely reminiscent of forest camouflage. Crisp browns, the colour of autumn leaves, settle on his head and neck, drifting down to his body. Here he takes on a darker shade of brown, in such markings as to make the smooth skin look rough. Towards his legs the colour gets lighter slightly, with odd spots of green here and there on his feet, like tiny blades of grass.
