Description

Standing at a height of six feet, more or less a little, this man is neither terribly well-built nor is he terribly thin, but somewhere strong and healthy between. His limbs are long yet well-formed, muscled without being bulky, and his legs are meant for big strides to get places in a hurry. His arms end in long-fingered, deft looking fingers and broad yet thin hands. He's quite proportioned, nothing particularly larger than anything else, and as a result looks to be sturdy rather than overbalanced. He has a head of black hair that he keeps long and tied off in a tail at the back of his neck, but otherwise falls into his features in strands. He has a broad brow that is masculine, hanging slightly at the ridge where dark eyebrows flash up and then down again. His eyes are a vibrant, wildcat green when he's pleased, but can darken nearly to emerald when he's upset, framed by short dark lashes. He has a pair of lips that seem a touch mismatched, the lower a bit fuller than the upper, set beneath a nose that could only be termed "aristocratic" by the polite.

His lithe form is dressed in a well-tailored black tunic of the mid-sleeved variety, cut at the sides near his hips to allow greater movement. It's topped with an open velvet vest of dark blue that is sleeveless and collarless that ends at about his hips. His trousers are cut to fit his fine hips and legs, but not so tight that he can't move in them comfortably, with a laced front and room for pockets so he can store things. At his tunic-covered waist is a wide black leather belt with a silver buckle at the front. On his feet are dark brown leather boots that go up to his knees, but are of such soft material they let his steps stay soft and gentle. His tunic is unlaced enough to show his collarbone, lazily drawing the eyes to his face and neck. He is otherwise unadorned.

History

Born the middle children of FarmCrafters Xandiego and Kharmen, Khaine was the second-born twin, coming to the world just a few minutes after his brother Xhaine. He was the surprising one - twins weren't common, and Kharmen had to take especial care with her pregnancy to bring them to full term without incident. Smaller than their sister, Diekhara (three turns older than themselves) was, or their youngest brother, Kharzan (two turns after them) would be, the twins were nonetheless hale and hearty. As a matter of fact, they were so hale and hearty that Kharmen often wondered if perhaps the little duo of boys weren't actually fused with dragonet blood somehow, the way they flitted around together all the time. As they grew up in Nerat, at the FarmCraftHall, the boys obtained an education from the resident Harpers - and got into ferociously frequent trouble. Intelligent and quick to learn things, nonetheless, Xhaine was often the one that wanted to do the oddest and funniest things, pranking people, and Khaine encouraged him - and oftentimes pushed him towards riskier or more problematic behaviors. The two of them, inseparable as they were as children, were finally sat down after a particularly frustrating incident involving a watchwher, wherry, and half a fair of firelizards and told that they would be sent off to the Harpercraft Hall. They had to learn to behave, and both showed an aptitude for music and Harpers from an early age - and thus, they were sent off to be someone else's problem at the age of twelve, to apprentice to the Crafthall. Now at age 18, they have finally come near what they hope is the end of their apprenticeship, and have been assigned to Ista Weyr for the last Turn of their training. Soon to become Journeymen, if all goes well, the twins are still engaged in their old fun-loving activities, though time has made Xhaine more mischievous and left his twin brother far more serious and prone to risk-taking. Xhaine may make funny faces to get laughs, but Khaine will send off a witty retort for amusement.

Xhaine was born color-blind, and though it's nothing big for him, for his twin, Khaine, it's a point of irritation - and protectiveness. It's Khaine's opinion that as his twin, HE should be the only one to poke a bit of fun at Xhaine for his weakness. Anyone else may get the rough side of Khaine's tongue at best, or watch Xhaine restrain his younger brother at worst. Never let it be said that Khaine doesn't have a boiling-hot temper to go with loyalty for his brother. More of a ladies' man in the traditional sense than his brother, Khaine is also more willing to use his Harper abilities to lure in his next conquest, while Xhaine tends to inadvertantly use his fun-loving characteristics to achieve the same results.

Firelizards

Ancient Archangel Blue Israfel

This blue is bathed in midnight and pale pastelle. His form is elegant, graceful. His slanted eyes are playful even. Moonshadow and nightshade bathe his long, sweeping wings in starlight. Faint patterns like feathers brush the wings in sapphire and clear crystal blues, just the faintest hint of sanguine red spatters beneath the graceful shaded sails. Though he is darkened in color, friendly in demeanor, there's something ethereal about him, otherworldly lunar blues stretch long shadows across his lithe chest and delicate muzzle.

Israfel is banded in Harper blue and white.

Israfel is 5 Turns, 2 months, and 15 days old and is 47 centimeters in length with a wingspan of 76 cm.

Sizzling Rib-Eye Bronze Jibrail

Toned muscles are readily visible across the large form of this intelligent bronze firelizard. Large eyes whirl beneath prominent ridges on his large wedge shaped head. Thick jaws are licked by a silvery green tongue, as if trying to catch some of the grizzle which looks to marble his hide. The hue of his hide is a meaty charred bronze, marbled with lighter metallic bronze grizzle. A few smears of black char marks his heavy haunches and criss-cross stripes his wings. The large sails look strong and sturdy, as opposed to some who's wings seem to barely be there at all. No, in this fellow his presence can not be missed.

Jibrail is banded in Harper blue and white.

Jibrail is 5 Turns, 0 months, and 4 days old and is 59 centimeters in length with a wingspan of 95 cm.

Cloaked in Many Personalities Gold Maryam

Molten gold poured fresh firms to create this lady. If you look closely though, you can see that her coloration is mixed - orange kisses her muzzle before fading to the bright hues. Darker shades are marked across her neck in a triangular pattern that's difficult to pin down. At first it's there, and then it seems to vanish. The orange picks up along her belly and down underneath her tail, but unless you look closely this queen is nothing but bright, polished, flawlessnes.

Maryam is banded in Harper blue and white.

Maryam is 3 Turns, 9 months, and 8 days old and is 62 centimeters in length with a wingspan of 100 cm.
