Description
Jainika is tall and solidly built, standing just shy of six feet. She could reasonably be defined as fat, with a defined hourglass shape - she's long-legged and unavoidably female. Her face is heart-shaped but a little rounded, having the appearance of someone who hasn't quite shed the chub of their youth - she has wide green eyes that stand out against slightly olive-toned skin, a faintly beak-like nose, and a cupid's bow mouth. Her black hair falls in thick waves to her shoulders.
Jaine is wearing a light-weight green tunic and tan cotton shorts with a pair of sturdy leather sandals on her feet. Her hair is pulled back into a thick ponytail with a thin blue ribbon.
History
Jainika is the only daughter and youngest child of two Ista Hold harpers and one of the few members of the family to not follow in the traditional occupation of her relatives. Her family has spent most of its time in tropical areas; her mother Annalis, a former Weaver apprentice from Nerat, moved to Ista Hold to pursue the Harpercraft instead. A specialist in the construction of intstruments, particularly guitars, she met her historian future-husband Jethan in a workshop on the history of her trade and wed him four turns later after her promotion to Journeywoman and his promotion to Master.
They remained in the Ista Hold area - Jethan due to what would later revealed to be a hereditery prediliction towards laziness, Annalis because of Nerat's wood - and settled comfortably at the Istan Harperhall, raising three children under its hot sun. Their oldest, Alethan at twenty-four, followed in his mother's footsteps and studies instrument craftsmanship under his mother, while twenty-two year old Markhal is a frequent vocal performer at Ista's gathers.
Jainika - Jaine to her mother, and most others - was neither pampered nor neglected, but grew up with a tomboyish tilt thanks to constant attention from her older brothers and from a young age was no stranger to the off-color remark or broken-limb dotted outdoor adventure. A connesieur of fineries from wine to poker decks, as she grew older Jaine took her parents' appreciation for beautiful artistry and turned it instead towards the artistry of debauchery. She grew up with a skill for numbers and statistics, a sharp wit, and a healthy appreciation for a good time, and opted as she entered her teenage years to pursue a career in gambling.
Her parents, neither proud of her choice of profession or displeased with her ability to make a decent living for herself, have been relatively supportive; Jaine takes her laidback nature from her father and her appreciation from self-sufficiency from her mother, and when asked to find -some- way to employ herself, was quick in hitching a ride to the Weyr and getting a job with the Ista Hall resort, wherein she does her best to make as much and take blame for as little trouble as possible.

Breaking the Trail Gold Vaeonath
Dusty sands, shades of yellow and near tan, mingle upon this gold's form, casting her coloration into muted hues from tip of her nose to the end of her tail. Trail dust gathers most noticeably upon her wide shoulders, the golden brown most prevalent along her sides and upper limbs, succeeded in overcoming the old gold that creeps upwards from the underside of her body. Blunt wings are satin sheen gold, the translucent sails supported by golden brown spars for their wide width, carrying the dust out to the very edges of her form, as it attempts to envelope her completely. The ridges that run from her almost masculine-shaped face along her back are the lightest by far - an evenly spread flax - in direct contrast to the ebony talons on each of her short, yet muscled, limbs.
