Description
A young man about 6 feet even in height and in his teens, Gathod has the theme of brown all about him. His deep-set hazel eyes are framed by a deeply tanned face and wavy auburn hair that just brushes the tops of his shoulders. He doesn't seem notably built nor bone-skinny.
A brown bovine-hide tunic covers his torso, and the shoulders connecting to the sleeves are specially stiched to allow for the maximum amount of arm flexibility while still looking well-kept. The cuffs terminate in rows of frilly lace accented with gold that glitters when it catches the light. The pants are a lighter brown to accent the tunic, and they are bunched up at the knee, creating a jhodpur look. Yellow leggings detailed with ankle lace droops down over a pair of simple tan shoes. A knot of orange and black, with a string of white as well, is attached to his tunic at the right shoulder.
History
Gathod was born in Ista Weyr to Galia and Thodon. Galia is a stablehand, and Th'don is a Green rider attached to a Search and Rescue wing. With his mother being a part of the food chain for the Dragons, and as such normally out tending the herds, and his father an actual rider who is often called to find the lost hikers and explorers, Gathod often finds himself with nothing to pursue save his own hobbies. In his younger years he quickly developed a knack for woodworking, starting mainly with fencewood scrap that he deftly shaped into models of the many different ships of Pern.%r%r%tLater, as he began to help more and more his father as much as he could with his duties of Dragonriding, usually involving keeping his riding gear clean and other simple tasks, he strived to find other hobbies to undertake while waiting around in the more rocky areas of the Weyr for his father to return. So he took to observing the rocks around him and became quite enthralled with the sheer variety of them. As a reflection of his capricious yet still polite nature, on a whim he humbly petitioned the Miner Hall to study under their Craft. His petition was granted, and Gathod has been fortunate enough that his father has been understanding enough as to ferry him to the Hall for his apprenticeship, so that he doesn't have to live at the Hall. This arrangement has proved advantageous for Ista Weyr also, as he can readily bring back his skills to the Weyr, assisting with projects such as expanding the Weyr's caverns when needed, and helping in the harvest of stones and minerals surrounding the Weyr. His loyalty to Weyr and Craft are both strong,as is his nature, and they are in a perfect harmony with the other, giving him all the more strength for a successful life.

Firelizards
Weylin
Reds, oranges, and browns paint this broad and muscled firelizard. Each broad limb is perfectly proportioned for combat. His wings are broad and strong, flight will be no problem for him. Tail and Neck are perfectly proportioned with a strong, masculine jaw.
Dragon
Bumbling Big Brother Brown Pokth
Short and squat, any sense of length to be found in this brown dragon might be hard to find. His muzzle is a narrow thing, a bit long and just right for sticking into trouble, while his tail is pudgy and drags more often than not. Lush tawny brown — faintly kissed with a golden sheen, but not so much to make him bronze — pours down from the top of his head and encircles his neck, only to stop abruptly at his beefy shoulders. It emerges again on the broad sails of his wings and over his meaty haunches, only to fade out along the length of his thick tail. Darker brown makes a cunning mask, starting just under his eyeridges and stretching out over his cheeks and pinching a bit toward the middle of his muzzle. That deep, carob shade covers his legs all the way up to where they meet his body, fills the void between his neck and shoulders and is smeared on his belly as if he'd been walking through a puddle of ink.
