Description
Brell is one of many of Ista Island's children, an impish girl of 15 with an easy laugh and the bronzed features common to southern natives; long, wavy blonde hair falls to about mid-back, framing a heart-shaped face set with light blue eyes and white, if slightly crooked teeth. She couldn't quite be considered tall or short for her age just yet, but her build is already tending more toward curvy than lean.
Her attire is usually simple, vaguely flattering and brightly colorful in keeping with the southern climate. Today, a cut-off, square-necked top of silver settles atop trousers of beige, wrapped with a belt of multi-colored cords. Plain sandals in brown adorn her feet.
Fastened about a shoulder is a plain, simple shoulderknot showing that she lives at Ista Weyr.
History
Brell is an island child, born of a spontaneous union between a pretty barmaid and one of the sons of a trader clan that visited Ista Weyr during the summer of 2665. As soon as she was born, Brell was entrusted into the care of the lower caverns women and grew up happily enough. An impish, mischievous child, she was always plotting ways to have adventures, even if it meant occasionally getting into trouble for wandering into places she shouldn't.
Where most children lost their penchant for extensive daydreaming by the time they hit adolescence, Brell continued on where they left off, absent-mindedly weaving her way through chores and into her fourteenth turn. Lirielle, having had very little interaction with her daughter up until this point, started to make attempts to develop a relationship between the two of them, even if it mostly consisted of encouraging the girl to gravitate toward an occupation.
Following a few joint meetings with the headwoman, Brell reluctantly took on a position as one of her junior assistants for a brief period, a job which would theoretically foster any latent organizational skills, were there any to be found. Currently, she seems much happier learning the ins and outs of the kitchen and Sable Sands, as her current disposition seems more favorably inclined toward being a waitress than a future headwoman.
