Description
Not your typical pretty face- A'ra has hardly ever been considered even remotely pretty. Her dark skin, along with dark eyes, and coarse, thick, dark hair were not common amongst her family. Sure- her mother had dark hair, and her father had dark eyes- but the combination of all three made her the ugly duckling amongst the four siblings. But she has long since grown into her own- and knows that she is not the ugly duckling she was once picked on as. A'ra's five-foot body is that of a young adolescent not yet come into her own. Her frame is lanky and gangly, more limbs than body, realy. A'ra's face is slightly rounded, reminiscent of her plump childhood. Her hair is a dark, dark brown- not quite black, though. It's coarse and thick, irritating and most of the time unmanageable. A'ra most always simply twists it into a knot at the base of her neck, unwilling to make battle. Dark eyes peer out from underneath an equally dark- and thick- layer of lashes. Her olive skin needs next to no attention; she doesn't burn easily with a natural tan like that.
History
Parra was born in Igen Weyr. Her parents? Never truly knew them- they were both dragonriders. Her father was a brownrider, a wingleader!Her mother was a sweet-tempered, but work-oriented greenrider who had no time for a child, or a relationship. Both transferred out to seperate Weyrs after she was born, simply the product of a flight. Being only a babe, Parra had no choice but to stay with foster mother Perrie had handed her over to before leaving. Parra lived at Igen until about 4 turns ago, when her foster mother brought up the idea that maybe becoming an apprentice would be a good idea. The Weyr's stationed Journeyman tested her, and Parra passed. Thus, the Journeyman brought her back to the Healer Hall. She's been there for four turns now, not yet old enough, or skilled enough, to walk the tables.

Blue Himmelorienth
Perfection is evident in the crisp hues that slip effortlessly upon this dragons form, pale sky blue stretching across the huge expanse of his back, uninterrupted by even the shadow of clouds. His color darkens slightly as it reaches the centerline of his stomach, a richer Mayan blue that spreads out along his belly, brushing in limb in imaginary shadows. Yet, despite the perfection of his hues, it is not mirrored in his form. Wings, traced with light blue spars across each darker sail, seem oversized even for his large frame, while serpentine neck seems to lack its expected length. Even each headknob, brushed with the midnight blue of a fading day, seems more knobby and stumpy than anything else, as they sit atop his short head. His ridges seem to be the only thing truly proportioned for his frame, each one a steely blue, set squarely down the length of his back.
