Description
Pale wheat mixed with rich honey makes smooth contrast of this young man's hair. It's not yet overly long, reaching a bit past slim shoulders when down. It's held up a tad messily, however, in a loose knot with the aid of a pencil. Turned upward as it is, it's easy to see the mixture of color from light to dark. While the surface is pale from sun exposure, the deeper layers beneath remain burnished and shadowed, muted blond in varied shades. Quite a bit of hair escapes the makeshift bun, mostly falling toward his face in the front. However, a single lock has been captured, encased in beads where it hangs just in front of the left ear. Slightly darked brows cast a tinge of shadow on his features, resting above eyes gilded with a golden touch. His facial structure seems rather soft, feminine really, with a petit nose and full lips forming a gentle bow. The rest of his body doesn't fare much better in helping him seem more masculine. While not completely short for his age, he's a rather slender figure from all angles, even his fingers are thin and finely boned.
A wide-collared green tunic lends for a bit of revealed skin across his shoulders and collarbone. Two buttons line down the front, large and fairly toggle-like in their structure. The sleeves come down to his elbows, though they split halfway down. Wide stitching keeps them somewhat together, bits of skin visible. A thick belt clasps just beneath the hem of the tunic, the brown leather cracked just slightly from use. A pair of straight, brown capri-like pants hang beneath, with lighter tan stitching that criss-crosses down the side seam in a vine pattern. At his shoulder is a white knot, keeping him marked as a candidate for Ista Weyr.
History
Hailing from the small Redtide Hold, Ashiira was born as the youngest sibling to three girls. Naturally, with all the females before him, his parents assumed that he would be a girl as well. With a name picked out well before his birth, he became stuck with it despite turning out to be in fact a male.
He grew up as any child of the hold would. He played with the other children, both the boys and the girls, and always got along wonderfully with them. When he was old enough, however, he packed up to join the harper hall, settling there in the beginnings of his apprenticeship.
However, when the earthquakes hit in the Ista region, and Redtide Hold was destroyed, he moved back, heading to the Weyr to rejoin what was left of his family after the destruction.

Bronze Kapalith
Long and gangly, this bronze is mottled to the point of looking scaled. An undercurrent of new brass peaks out from beneath a red bronze that covers him from head to toe. Starting at his blunt, short nose, a deep oiled brown, like old bronze, creates a stripe that extends back along the length of his body, to the tip of his long tail. His squared cheeks pick up that darker bronze with circles for each side that climb back along his neck and back, looking almost like eyes in some places. His wing sails managed to escape the mess and reflect that bright yellow brass with its dark brown shadows. When seen in the proper light, he looks like he's covered in an iridescent paint, reflecting more colors than are actually on him and adding to the mess.
