The Weyrwoman's self-exhile to the records room did not go unnoticed by the bronzeriders of the Weyr— though perhaps that was actually Senior queen Ellamariseth's shiny hide that really had them interested. As sudden as the proddiness took over the pair, so did the flight. It started abruptly and it ended almost as quickly as well. Except there was a difference this time: T'eo, the Weyrleader, was absent.
It's become a curse upon the Senior Weyrwoman who has gone through four Weyrleaders now. A new era begins with the Weyr's fifth Weyrleader since Ysa became Weyrwoman. Ittisieth, having caught the playful queen when her evasiveness had finally failed her, has claimed the new title which makes the Dragonhealer S'gam as the new Weyrleader. There will be changes to the Weyr yet again, but change is something that Istans are now used to. What lies ahead is always a mystery except for one thing: There will be eggs, candidates, and finally a new group of weyrlings to become Ista's future.
