While time is quickly passing, and the most serious of the dragon-flu cases are almost completely recovered, things still have not returned completely to normal at Ista Weyr. Over the past few weeks, Weyrwoman Sharix has spent more and more time sequestered by herself, and has delegated more and more of her duties to her Juniors as well as the other members of Ista's leadership. However, despite this, it still came as a surprise when as a group they were called into a meeting with Sharix, to be told that she was stepping down as Senior, and leaving the position to whatever goldrider's lifemate rose first.
Now, two questions linger over the residents of Ista Weyr - what prompted the Weyrwoman to suddenly resign her knot, and what gold will take to the skies first to become the new Senior? Sharix is still in residence at Ista Weyr, and at least for now there are no signs of her preparing to go elsewhere, and of the other golds, both Umniyath and Ankhepith are barely off the Sands, as all eyes turn to towards the recent transfer.
