Early evening descended on Ista and brought forth a near fatal accident, taking place on one of the many ferries that crosses the waters to the party islands. Apparently, as the story goes, one water fearing bronzerider boarded a ferry with a known dancer, intending to get to the Saucy Wench. The ferry had just taken on repairs that afternoon but was apparently given the all clear to launch. Instead of the regular ferry driver, a brownrider on her day off had taken over the helm. Somewhere in the middle of their voyage, the skiff had suddenly tipped. The result was one of the passengers going overboard, as it so happens the bronzerider who manages the Wench. Having nearly drowned, the brownrider, also apparently the Weyrlingmaster, had to rescue the man from the waters depths. His dragon was heard the entire time, some say on the brink of going between forever. Reports say that he was brought back to the infirm on the mainland, unconscious but breathing. The two women were also treated for exhaustion.
