Anyone that didn't hear a certain brown bellowing his mighty, mighty lungs out in the bowl … well, they can count themselves lucky.
During a rousing game of firelizard fetch — between M'gaal and Gathod's brown firelizard, Weylin — the bronzerider thought he'd be clever and toss three things for the poor 'lizard to catch. The 'lizard's refusal nearly landed M'gaal with a knock on the head by the same ball he tossed in the air … only for said ball to be deflected by a well-aimed rock by H'un.
Turns out, Nykamath had a few things to say to Gathod through H'un, not the least of which was 'get closer', 'rub my nose', and — oh yes — 'stand for the eggs'. Naturally, when the lad accepted the white knot and the title of 'Candidate', the round brown couldn't help himself. A mighty roar was issued that could easily be heard Weyr-wide … leaving a bronzerider temporarily deafened and muttering something about 'no goatheads'.
It's probably best not to ask.
