When the Traders last visited Ista, they left behind a small contingent. Amongst them, Captain Jakor's eldest son: Jakkal.
Along with his mare, Amber, the young man has been touring the island, making contact and attempting to discover just what goods the residents are willing to trade for, and which they might part with at a reasonable price.
As his visit extends, the Sea Trader has found himself returning to the Weyr more and more often, sometimes to speak to his brother, P'ler, but often simply to speak to the other Traders from the Fleet who have set up on or near the beach and await the return of their ships.
Jakkal can often be found at the local fishing spot either casting a line, of just resting, lulled by the sound of the waves caressing the rocks.
