With Sharix stepping down and two other juniors having recently clutched eggs, all eyes were turned to the recently transferred gold from Xanadu. Ysa, however, had very little time to panic. It was no surprise that when her rider finally decided to pull out the boxes again, Ellamariseth rushed to the pens instead. With little warning the queen still attracted an assortment of bronzers who were eager to claim her and the title.
Among the chasers were the current Weyrleader's Azaeth and Ysa's weyrmate's Arinith, both brothers stuck in an awkward situation. Ellamariseth took to the skies, bets were taken, and the bronzes tired until only a few remained. When the Telgar-born queen finally faltered, it was definitely a surprise to see her slip away from Arinith and tangling right into the larger Azaeth's clutches instead.
Ysa is now Ista Weyr's reluctant Senior Weyrwoman; a woman who had recently been kicked out of Xanadu and is known for drinking and being lazy. How will Ista Weyr react to this foreign goldrider as their new leader? How will this effect the relations with the other Weyrs, especially Xanadu Weyr? There are definitely many questions, and few answers, as the new leadership takes the reigns.
